One day while running the the dogs (Chantry and Tell) on a bike on the trail behind the kennel. My dogs had given me a little trouble with distractions on the trail, and finally settled in to a trot and were running nicely. When both dogs stopped in their tracks, while Tell looked straight ahead very intent and alert, Chantry instantly growled, and within a few seconds started to bark. Now Chantry never barks. Often yips but he never barks, so I knew some thing was out there that I could not see. I then told Chantry to come, so we could turn around, but he refused to turn his back. After a few times of calling Chantry he turned reluctantly and started toward me. So I holstered "Mr Shorty" and turned towards home. And the next few days it rained.
After the rain had stopped I returned to the same trail. Only when I got to that spot, I found where a mountain lion had killed and eaten a deer, right where I had been standing. man I was glad that we turned around when we did.

I was sitting in the large wood antique chair with wide arms, minding my own business while playing on the computer, then came...The DOG!
Tell is very friendly, loves people, and he likes to jump up and sit in their laps. The chair I was sitting in was a big one and a favorite of his to try and climb on people who were occupying it.
He climbed up, putting his front paws in my lap and tried to kiss me. Since I was busy I tried to push him off... No such luck Chuck! The harder I pushed him the harder he leaned into me. The chair leaned back, tilted onto two legs, then in very slow motion went over backwards. We hit the floor with a thud. I was on my back still "sitting" in the chair, Tell was high centered on it. Neither one could get up, I couldn't move until Tell was off of me and he couldn't move until I pulled him off. Thor and Mom were laughing and so was I, Tell looked startled, finally Thor lifted him off and helped me up.
